Basic Shell

The Guldmann Basic Shell Sling is a full-body sling designed for lifting and moving users who have reduced or no control of the head and upper body. It supports the entire body and head while allowing the user’s arms to remain outside the sling.

This sling is especially useful for users with reduced control of the head, upper body, and lower body, and is well suited for specially adapted wheelchairs. It can be used for transfers from a seated or lying position, including from the floor, bed, or wheelchair. The sling may also be left in place underneath the user while seated in a wheelchair.

The Basic Shell Sling is available in several sizes and is made from durable polyester net material, which can also be used as a bathing sling. The breathable material allows air to circulate around the body, helping provide comfort and support while reducing heat and moisture buildup.

The sling includes a Smart label with RFID technology. The label contains a unique serial/identification number and production date, and can be read with most RFID reader technologies. A QR code on the sling also links to a mobile site with access to instruction videos and user manuals.

The Basic Shell Sling has a lifting capacity of up to 255 kg / 560 lbs and is compatible with all Guldmann ceiling hoists and mobile lifters.
